OUR BEGINNINGS
- Vampire Tools was inspired by the founder’s experience going to college in America in the 1970s. As college students on a budget, my peers and I were fixing our own cars, teaming up with buddies to work on one car and then the other friend’s car the following weekend.
- We couldn’t afford to take our cars to a dealership, so we would go to the junkyard to pick up used parts and share tools to fix each other’s cars.
- In the 1970s, tools were cherished. Everyone borrowed from each other, and names were commonly engraved on the tools to prevent theft. Tools lasted longer back then, unlike today’s cheaper, mass-shipped tools that are often discarded after minimal use.
- Repair books for specific car models were difficult to obtain in the 70s. Today, the internet and smartphones have made repair instructions for almost anything readily accessible.
- Since our humble beginnings in 2012, Vampire Tools has grown popular with products like the VAMPLIERS® 6.25″ Screw Extraction Pliers and Super Combo Scissors. We continue to expand with high-quality, long-lasting tools that make repairs and odd jobs enjoyable and quick.
