• Specifications: The Tri-Hole Fiber Optic Tool has three different sized notches to strip all three layers protecting the fiber cable. First hole strips 2-3mm outer fiber jackets | Second hole strips 600 – 900 tight buffer coating down to the 250 micron buffer coating | Third hole strips standard 250 micron coating down to the 125 micron acrylate bare optical fiber. Convenient stripping guide is marked on the blade.
• Application: Each of the three holes is precisely constructed to strip the three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer coating and micron acrylate – cleanly with no nicks, scratches or damage to the fiber core. Convenient one-handed swing lock design.
• Enhanced Manufacturing: Sharp edged blades made of High Carbon Alloy Steel hardened HRC 60-62. Rivet made of middle Carbon Steel with nickel plating. TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) handles delivers a comfortable and ergonomic non-slip grip. Spring loaded for reduced hand fatigue during repetitive stripping.
• To completely prepare the fiber cable before stripping, the Kevlar/Aramid Yarn strengthener found inside fiber cables needs to be cut and removed. Vampire Tools recommends pairing our fiber optic stripper with the VAMPLIERS 5.5″ Fiber Optic Kevlar Cutter (SKU: VT-2851) specially designed for cutting kevlar materials and aramid yard found in various fiber optic cables.
